Canadians: polite, but not nice

When chatting with my host in Vancouver, Canada she reminisced about the kindness back in the Midwest.

"Canadians are polite, but not nice," she said.

Moments later, somebody broke into the car and stole my lap top and camera. The person left my passport and journals (polite), but got off with the goods (not nice).

As a result, my One Year Ago Today project  will remain unfinished. Every photo I've taken for the past five years -- except for the ones published here and on Facebook -- are gone. I may revisit with some written tales, but for now, this closes it up. Apologies to all.
