My first "blog" entry

Writing a first blog entry is difficult. Maintaining a blog is an even greater challenge. 

When studying to become a journalist, you do a lot of writing. Some of the writing gets published, some of the writing sits on your desktop in a folder called "Reporting Assignments" and never gets seen by anyone except your professor. I'm looking to use this platform to publish some of that unseen writing, even if it's not in top-notch condition. DC is a great place, and I'm excited to share with you what I've experienced. 

I'm not making any big promises, but I hope to update this at least once a month. I'll post things I've written, things I'm working on and things I hope to eventually be working on.
